The final step before you get your full motorcycle license. Going for your Module two test can of course make you nervous, however, just think that you will have done everything an examiner asks you to do on your Module two test plenty of times before with an instructor. Your Module two test is an on-road module which usually takes about 40 minutes. It essentially shows an examiner that your riding skills have reached a level where you can ride consistently well, with confidence and without help or guidance. It will also show that you meet the National standards for driving and riding.

Please remember that you are on test right up until you get off your motorcycle at the test centre. You would be surprised to find out how many people fail for making mistakes whilst on route back to the test centre, so avoid mistakes like that by just keeping your head in the game until you’re off your bike.

Your Module two test does have various aspects within it however, like I said earlier its nothing that you will not have done before. We’ve given you a full breakdown of what will be asked of you during your Module two test further down the page under ‘The Course’ section, or you can watch the short video below.

The Course

Your Module Two test takes place on the road and will last approximately 40 minutes.

This module will include:

  • An eyesight test
  • Safety and balance questions
  • Road riding element covering a variety of road and traffic conditions
  • Normally an examiner will follow you on a motorcycle and will give you directions via radio.

You will be asked to carry out the following:

  • Normal stops
  • An angle start (pulling out from behind a parked vehicle)
  • A hill start (if possible)

Types of full licence

There are different types of full Licence on offer, to fit what you’re looking to.

The types available are all dependent on your age and the bike you take your test on:

  • A1 Licence (125cc) – Ideal for younger riders (17yo+)
  • A2 Licence (500cc) – More freedom and choice (19yo+)
  • Full Licence (650cc+) – The only option if you want to ride any bike. (Min 24yo+ or 21yo+ if you’ve held an A2 Licence for 2 years)

Course Requirements

To take your Module 2 Course you will require:

  • UK Provisional Licence / UK Full Car Licence / EU Licence with a Confirmation of Registration Certificate (D91)
