It goes without saying that you need to pass your Module One test before you complete your Module Two test, and here at The Ride Academy we’ll give you the skills you need to do just that. It is essentially an off-road test that allows examiners to test you at set speeds and to conduct manoeuvres whilst in a safe off-road environment. The Ride Academy is unlike any other school in Chester as we have the facility to set up a complete full-sized replica of the official Module One test. This allows us to give you a unique training experience and practice the real thing before undergoing your official Module One test.
Every exercise on the Module One test is designed to simulate something on the road, and whilst on the Module One test you are to conduct yourself as if on a public highway carrying out all necessary observations to keep yourself safe whilst avoiding contact with all marker cones. You will do a manual handling exercise followed by three slow control exercises, before ending with three faster exercises two of which are speed related and carry a minimum speed. Although there is only a set amount of exercises on the Module One test you are on test from the moment you sit on the bike in the car park until the moment you get off the bike in the car park. You can see further information on the layout of the Module One test in the video below.
